The vibe
More than a climb — a connection to the mountain and its people
We're a small, local team who met on Kilimanjaro and fell in love with sharing it. Our mission is simple: craft extraordinary, affordable expeditions — guided by a passion for adventure and a deep respect for the mountain we call home.
When you climb with us, you climb with Tumaini and his hand-picked local crew — people who know every camp, every trail and every sunrise, and who look after your safety and comfort from the first briefing to the summit.

Plan & prepare
Know before you go
Everything you need to feel ready for the Roof of Africa. Still have questions? We're only a message away.
Best time to climb
The dry seasons — June to October and December to February — bring the clearest skies and best summit conditions. We climb year-round and will advise the ideal window for you.
Fitness & training
No technical skills are needed, but good fitness helps. Aim to walk comfortably for 5–8 hours a day; a few months of regular cardio and hill walking is ideal.
Getting there
Fly into Kilimanjaro International Airport (JRO), the gateway to the mountain. We include transfers to and from your hotel in Moshi or Arusha.
Visas & entry
Most visitors need a tourist visa for Tanzania — available online (eVisa) before you travel, or on arrival. Make sure your passport is valid for at least six months.
Health & insurance
Visit a travel clinic for recommended vaccinations and malaria advice. Travel insurance covering high-altitude trekking and evacuation is essential — we’ll point you the right way.
What’s included
Your climb includes licensed guides, a porter and cook team, all mountain meals, park and rescue fees, and camping or hut accommodation. Full details come with your quote.
Frequently asked questions
Do I need climbing experience?
No technical experience is required — Kilimanjaro is a trek, not a climb. Good fitness, determination and the right preparation matter far more, and we guide you through all of it.
How does acclimatisation work?
Altitude is the biggest factor in summit success. Our itineraries are built around “climb high, sleep low” and the mantra “pole pole” (slowly, slowly), with longer routes giving your body more time to adjust.
What gear do I need?
Once you book, we send a complete packing list for every climate zone on the mountain. Quality gear can also be rented locally — just ask and we’ll arrange it.
How much does it cost?
It depends on your route, group size and dates. We’re committed to honest, transparent and affordable pricing with no hidden fees — get in touch for a tailored quote.
How do I book?
Send us a message with your preferred route and dates. We’ll craft an itinerary to suit you, answer all your questions, and guide you through every step.
