Northern Circuit
The longest, most scenic route, with the highest success rates.
Overview
The newest and longest route on Kilimanjaro circles almost the entire mountain. Nine or ten days on the trail means superb acclimatisation and one of the highest success rates anywhere, plus near-total solitude, 360° panoramas, and views across the plains of Kenya from the rarely-trekked northern slopes.
Why climbers love it
- ▲ Longest route, with the best acclimatisation on the mountain
- ▲ Near-total solitude on the northern slopes
- ▲ Sweeping views across the plains of Kenya
- ▲ Almost a full 360° circuit of Kilimanjaro
